INTERVISTA A JOE SCUDERI

|
- What do you think about
your cricket carrer?
My carreer is one that i'm
very proud of. My end of career statistics show that i was a good, solid
first class player that didn't quite make the highest level. I had some
great moments. Ones that will be with me forever. Consistency to play at a
higher level was probably my biggest problem. |
 |
- How important is training to
be a professional cricketer?
You cannot become great in anything you do without working hard at it,and i mean
really hard. Not just the practical side of it(batting, bowling and fielding) but
also mentally and pysically. |
 |
- What did you think when Lancashire CCC knock on to you door?
I was real excited about playing
for Lancashire as i had played in the Lancashire league for so long it was like
a 2nd home to me
|
|
- What were you feelings when you first walked out to bat for Lancashire?
The 1st time i walked onto the
field for Lancs i was very proud and honoured.A county with great history.I wish
my time with Lancs had lasted a bit longer than the 2 years.

|
- You played first class cricket in australia and england. In which stadium
you had the strongest impact?
Always enjoyed playing on the
Adelaide Oval.Lovely ground and my home ground for South Australia but playing
at Lords was extra special.I'm glad i got to play there before my first class
career was over.
|
|
- What does the word cricket mean to you?
Cricket to me means my life. Its
given me everything i have today, but at the same time i worked hard for it.It
has enabled me to see the world, make great friends all over and of course led me
to Italy, my families home.
|
|
- What would you advise to a young player?
Learn the basics first and do them
well before moving onto more elaborate style of playing.Work hard, watch, listen
and learn from good players around you.Watching great players is a great way of
learning too.
